About Me

Welcome to The Course Ranch Academy! I'm a university lecturer in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) with extensive experience teaching students across a range of ages and levels in both the UK and China. My academic journey includes a BA in History, an MA in Linguistics, and an MSc in Computer Science—a unique combination that informs my interdisciplinary approach to education.

During my time in China, I taught English Language, Literature, and History to students from 8th to 12th grade, which gave me valuable insights into how young minds engage with content and develop critical thinking skills. Now, as a university lecturer, I focus on helping students excel in both traditional academic subjects and navigate the increasingly complex digital landscape with confidence and discernment.

My passion lies at the intersection of technology, humanities, and education. I believe that in today's rapidly evolving world, students need both strong foundations in core subjects and the ability to be responsible, critical, and ethical digital citizens. This belief drives my approach to creating educational resources that are academically rigorous, engaging, and relevant to the real-world challenges students face.

Through The Course Ranch Academy, I share research-backed, classroom-tested resources designed specifically for high school and university educators across multiple disciplines. Whether you're teaching English Language, Literature, History, Computer Science, or looking to integrate digital citizenship into your curriculum, my goal is to provide you with materials that engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
